Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an experienced embedded software developer to work on-site at NSWC Dahlgren within a dynamic government team. The role involves coding on embedded microcontrollers and developing Android and Desktop applications to control and interact with embedded systems.

Travel up to 10% within the Continental US may be required. An Active Secret Clearance and US Citizenship are required to obtain access to classified information.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience with embedded software development for microcontrollers or similar devices.
• Knowledge of C, Kotlin, and Java.
• Experience with Android/Desktop GUI development.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite and sockets.
• Ability to debug hardware-software interfaces with oscilloscope/logic analyzers.
• US Citizenship and Active Secret clearance required.
• Knowledge of weapon systems and C2 concepts.

Responsibilities

• Code on embedded microcontrollers and develop Android/Desktop applications interacting with hardware.
• Develop embedded software for new and existing systems.
• Support Android applications using Kotlin and Desktop applications.
• Assist testing and assessment of embedded systems on-site and off-site.
• Follow government development processes and best practices.
• Collaborate regularly with the government team on-site.
