Job summary

Raytheon’s EW Software team seeks a Software Engineer II for real-time embedded products in a high-assurance environment. You will join cross-disciplinary teams, develop software from architecture through lab tests, and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver complex solutions.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2+ years’ experience, C/C++ expertise, and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance. Onsite work with potential travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in software design, integration and test using C/C++.
• Firmware/product development experience or similar is required.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-disciplined teams using agile methods to plan, design, test and integrate complex software and systems.
• Develop innovative product implementations from architecture to field tests.
• Collaborate with engineers to produce planning and technical work products for internal customers.
• Develop software and FPGA interface requirements from system-level needs and perform simulations.
• Work with systems, firmware, electrical and software engineers in a fast-paced development environment.
