RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Software Engineer I to design, develop, and release embedded software for DoD and commercial programs. The role focuses on real-time C/C++ applications, integration with VxWorks, and agile development within fast-paced teams.

The position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Onsite work at the McKinney campus with occasional travel up to 20% is expected, with relocation offered based on eligibility.

Formación

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related software languages.
• Experience in C and C++ and real‑time operating systems such as VxWorks.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Support all aspects of a software development life cycle as members of an embedded software team. This will include supporting new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept and requirements, to design, development, integration, test, and potentially subsequent maintenance tasking.
• Use and provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
• Work onsite at McKinney, TX
• This position will require occasional business-related travel up to 20%.
