Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and release real-time embedded software for the MTS-A product line in a fast-paced Agile environment. Join a team of engineers delivering complex defense and aerospace systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with C++, embedded/RTOS development, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; relocation may be offered.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related software languages.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Embedded software development experience or real-time development experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and release software for the MTS-A product line in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Support all aspects of the software development life cycle as members of an embedded software team.
• Support new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept to design, development, integration, test, and maintenance.
• Use and provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
• Work onsite at McKinney, TX and travel up to 20%.
