Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Aguadilla, PR is hiring an entry-level Embedded Software Engineer for a hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 remote). You will contribute to design, development, integration and verification of embedded software, collaborating with hardware, FPGA and systems teams to meet milestones. Requirements include STEM degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency in C++ and JavaScript, and strong English communication.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

Typically requires a STEM degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience programming in C++.
Experience with JavaScript for software development.
Proficient in English (verbal and written).
U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded software solutions using object-oriented programming principles.
Write, test, and debug code in C++ and JavaScript.
Support the integration and verification of software components within larger systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software compatibility with hardware and system requirements.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Learn and apply new technologies and methodologies to enhance software development processes.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, both in-person and through virtual tools.
