Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a leader in advanced aerospace and defense solutions, seeks an entry-level Systems Engineer in Aguadilla, PR. The role contributes to the development and integration of advanced systems in a hybrid work environment, with on-site and remote collaboration.

You will work on projects addressing critical customer needs and learn through hands-on activities. The position requires a STEM degree with minimal experience, English communication skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with <2 years of relevant experience.
• English communication skills required (verbal and written).
• Citizenship and security clearance eligibility required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyze, decompose, allocate, and trace system requirements.
• Design and maintain SysML models (activity diagrams, state machines, block diagrams, use cases).
• Develop and verify system and subsystem test procedures.
• Support system integration, troubleshooting, and verification across hardware and software.
• Use JIRA to decompose features into user stories with acceptance criteria; support Agile development.
• Support project-level work and meet schedule, cost, and performance goals.
• Identify and communicate technical risks, issues, and impacts of design choices.
• Participate in hands-on lab activities as required.
• Be willing to self-learn in a fast-paced environment.
