Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking an Engineer III, Embedded Software in Towson, MD for a hybrid role. You will design, develop, and validate firmware for power tools, including motor control and battery management systems, with emphasis on C programming on 8/16/32-bit MCUs and RTOS concepts.

Your role includes debugging, testing, and collaboration across engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality and performance. Travel to interface with contract manufacturers may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Experience with C on 8/16/32-bit MCUs.
• ARM architectures preferred.
• Knowledge of microcontroller peripherals (timers, GPIO, UART, DMA) and RTOS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop firmware for power tools including motor controls and battery systems.
• Implement and validate designs via software testing and simulation.
• Develop verification procedures using unit and integration tests.
• Provide leadership to meet cost, performance, and quality targets.
• Translate customer requirements into software specifications and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and overseas manufacturers as needed.
