Teradyne's Embedded Software Engineer (Integrated System Test) in Sunnyvale focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining software that interfaces with hardware and OS components. You will deliver robust APIs and services for higher-level applications while collaborating with hardware engineers, software teams, and product managers to ensure high-performance test systems.

The role spans the full embedded stack—from low-level hardware interaction and Linux platform work to application

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Strong proficiency in C and C++ for embedded and system-level apps.
Experience Linux user-space, drivers, bootloaders, and cross-compilation.
Experience debugging hardware/software integration and multithreading.
Experience with embedded interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, PCIe.
Experience applying AI-assisted tools to software engineering.
Proficiency in Python for automation, testing, and tooling.
Experience in test, instrumentation, and automation domains.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software solutions in C/C++ for Linux-based embedded systems.
Debug and optimize hardware/software integration across system and board levels.
Collaborate with hardware engineers, software engineers, and product managers to deliver reliable solutions.
