Job summary

Teradyne Inc. in North Reading, MA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Manager to lead the IST Software team developing Linux-based embedded systems for advanced test platforms.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical direction, and collaborate with hardware and product leaders to deliver high-performance, reliable software. Strong C/C++ and Agile experience, plus AI-assisted tooling, are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded applications.
• Experience applying AI-assisted tools in software engineering workflows.
• Experience managing embedded software engineers.
• Availability to work from North Reading, MA office at least three days per week.
• Experience implementing Agile software development practices, including planning and sprint execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers and contractors.
• Provide technical and people leadership for the IST Software team.
• Guide Linux-based embedded software development in C/C++.
• Coordinate with hardware, product managers, and engineering leaders.
• Drive Agile development practices and continuous improvement.
• Improve software quality and productivity with modern practices and AI tools.
