Job summary

Teradyne IST Software team seeks a highly motivated Embedded Software Engineering Manager to lead a growing group developing software for state-of-the-art test platforms.

You will guide technical direction, mentor engineers, drive Agile practices, and collaborate with hardware, product, and operations to deliver reliable Linux-based embedded solutions in C/C++. This role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and scalable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to explain complex issues, status, and risks clearly.
• Demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience implementing Agile practices including planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded software development.
• Experience applying AI-assisted tools to engineering workflows.
• Experience with Python for automation and tooling.
• Experience managing embedded software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers and contractors.
• Guide software development for Linux-based embedded systems in C/C++.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and challenges to stakeholders.
