Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, IL is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for the Energy Applications Team to develop embedded software for diesel engine, battery electric, and fuel cell systems.

You will handle configuration, integration, build, and testing of embedded software across multiple power technologies. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and hands-on experience with CAN/J1939, Matlab, and languages like C and Python.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related study.
• Experience with embedded software development for engine or machine systems.
• Experience with configuration, integration and building of embedded software.

• Software requirements analysis
• Software configuration and building
• Test plan creation, execution, and documentation
• Set-up and configuration of test bench hardware & software
• Completion of mandatory and feature specific testing using manual and automated methods
