Job description

Location: onsite Mossville, IL 100% M-F; open to relocation candidates but MUST be able to be onsite day 1 of contract (max 2 weeks from offer) and relocate at own costs (swoon nor client provide relocation services)

Type: Contract

Screenings: tech prior to submission, full panel drug and background once hired

Must Haves:

• min Years of experience: 5+
• min Degree requirement: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with an embedded software focus- Will take Master’s but needs 5 years experience
• At least five years industry experience in C programming
• At least five years industry experience in Model Based Development

• Familiarity with debuggers/ good debugging and troubleshooting skills.

The main function of an embedded software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the embedded software and systems that make computers work. A typical embedded software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment for product lines.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

• As an Energy Electronics Software Engineer, you will develop embedded software for electronics control systems supporting diesel engine and battery electric/fuel cell programs. Areas of responsibility include configuration, integration, build and testing of embedded software; testing software for embedded electronic control systems includes requirements development and verification of software in a bench environment as well as troubleshooting software or system defects.
