Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Oklahoma City seeks an Associate Embedded Software Engineer or Embedded Software Engineer for the IMS Embedded Software Engineering Team. You will modernize and sustain embedded avionics flight programs and work within an interdisciplinary group across the lifecycle.

Role requires strong C/C++/Ada skills, DoD Secret clearance, and proactive collaboration with PMs, suppliers, and customers. On-site daily in OKC with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM discipline.
• Proficiency in C/C++/Ada or OO languages.
• Proficiency in all phases of the software lifecycle from requirements to testing.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Must hold or obtain DoD Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain embedded flight programs using standard software practices.
• Participate in the full SDLC, from requirements to testing and release.
• Lead in solving complex technical problems and coordinate across teams.
• Interact with Program Management, external suppliers, and government customers.
