Job summary

Amazon Robotics seeks an Embedded SDE to own and certify safety-critical software modules used across its robotics fleet. You will translate R&D work into production-grade embedded software that meets high safety standards and contribute to certification-ready documentation and evidence.

You will collaborate with safety, lab, and QA teams to ensure traceability from requirements to certification, while advocating MISRA C++ and AUTOSAR-compliant development practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new/existing systems.
• 3+ years of C++ for embedded or real-time systems.
• Experience with safety-critical/high-reliability software processes.
• Experience translating research or prototype code into production-quality software.
• Experience in object-oriented programming.

Responsibilities

• Own the library of safety-critical embedded software modules and ensure quality, maintainability, and certification readiness.
• Translate R&D algorithm code into production-grade, certifiable embedded software meeting safety standards.
• Define and communicate software requirements upstream to R&D to align with certification objectives.
• Drive software through safety certification lifecycle with documentation and evidence for certification.
• Develop and maintain embedded software following MISRA C++ and AUTOSAR and real-time execution practices.
• Collaborate with safety, lab, and QA teams to ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements to certification evidence.
