Job summary

Checkpoint Systems is seeking a System Test Engineer to validate complete hardware–software systems with increasing automation. You will test RFID readers, edge devices, and embedded Linux services, coordinating with Hardware, Firmware, SDET, and Manufacturing teams to ensure readiness for internal releases and field trials.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, cross-domain troubleshooting, and ownership of system quality, reporting to the QA Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years in system testing/validation/QA for hardware–software systems.
• Experience testing embedded devices, networking hardware, and software applications.
• Hands-on validation on physical hardware and diagnosing cross-domain failures.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., PractiTest) is a plus.
• Exposure to test automation and collaboration with SDET/automation engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute system-level test plans, cases, and traceability matrices for embedded systems.
• Validate end-to-end device workflows including provisioning, configuration, upgrades, rollback, and recovery.
• Create and maintain manual and automated system tests for functional robustness and performance.
• Extend automated regression coverage with SDET/software teams across system and workflow levels.
• Perform validation using real hardware, simulators, or hardware-in-the-loop configurations.
