Job Description

We are seeking an Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand our presence in industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics. Ideal candidates are experienced Linux specialists, passionate about Linux internals, proficient with containerization, system debugging, and embedded software development. This role involves working with Ubuntu Core, our IoT-focused OS, emphasizing security, resilience, and certification efforts to meet evolving market needs.
The role requires a blend of technical skills: deep Linux knowledge, coding and scripting proficiency, experience with low-level Linux boot processes, BIOS, firmware, and embedded development methodologies. Candidates should thrive in dynamic client engagements with innovative entrepreneurs, balancing technical excellence with customer-centric solutions. The role involves engaging with customers pre-sales, proposing solutions, delivering projects, and conveying market needs internally.
