Job Description

Our customers include major public cloud and silicon providers, and industry leaders across sectors. We operate with a global, distributed team of over 1000 colleagues in more than 70 countries, with few roles based in offices, meeting in person 2-4 times annually at various locations worldwide.
We are hiring a Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand into industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Consumer Electronics. Ideal candidates are experienced Linux professionals, passionate about Linux internals, proficient with containerization, debugging, and embedded development. Our Ubuntu server edition is prevalent in connected devices and industrial PCs, and our Ubuntu Core edition offers advanced security and resilience for high-end appliances. We are developing real-time Linux capabilities and pursuing certifications to enhance our offerings, aiming for Linux solutions optimized for reliability, security, and developer productivity.
This role requires a unique skill set: strong Linux knowledge, coding and scripting proficiency, experience with low-level Linux boot processes, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development. Candidates should thrive in fast-paced, diverse client engagements, and be team players committed to excellence and customer satisfaction. As a field engineer, you will be the primary technical contact, providing expert support and solutions to customers.
