Job Description

We are hiring an Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand our reach in industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics. Candidates should be passionate Linux experts, proficient in OS internals, containerization, debugging, and low-level embedded software development. Experience with Linux boot processes, BIOS, firmware, and embedded development methodologies is essential.
Our Ubuntu Server edition is widely used in connected devices and industrial PCs. Ubuntu Core, our IoT edition, emphasizes security and resilience for high-end appliances and equipment, serving clients in consumer and industrial electronics, automotive, and robotics. We are expanding our offerings with real-time Linux capabilities and working toward certifications, aiming for Linux solutions that prioritize reliability, security, developer productivity, and minimal footprint.
This role requires a unique skill set: strong Linux expertise, coding and scripting proficiency, and experience with embedded Linux development. Candidates should enjoy fast-paced, diverse client engagements and be motivated, team-oriented, and committed to excellence. As a field engineer, you will be the primary technical contact, providing expert support and solutions to customers.
