Job summary

Amazon in Bellevue, WA is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to own the hardware lifecycle—from design through deployment—delivering reliable PCBAs and sensor integration for Last Mile automation.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to validate designs, optimize performance, and drive hardware–software interfaces that meet strict SLAs in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. This role blends crafting robust hardware with practical software controls.

Qualifications

• Experience with prototyping and implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of PCBA-level circuit design experience.
• Experience with electrical design verification and test equipment.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Familiarity with embedded electronics architectures and interfaces.
• Experience with power design and distribution networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for modules and sub-systems with manufacturability and reliability focus.
• Develop schematics and oversee PCBAs layout and component placement.
• Develop, execute, and automate electrical test plans and bring-up activities.
• Integrate sensors and wireless modules for hardware systems.
• Lead hardware accelerators for ML on device and AI workloads.
• Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analyses, and implement mitigations.
• Develop hardware/firmware interfaces and IIoT solutions, including edge-to-cloud architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and business to balance specifications with feasibility.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and manufacturing partners.
