Job summary

Koch Risk Optimization seeks an embedded forward-deployed engineer to serve as a technical partner and full-stack builder crafting production-ready apps, data analytics solutions, and Gen AI workflows to solve complex risk and investment challenges.

You will collaborate with risk capability leaders, analysts, and tech teams to prototype, deploy, and own high-impact solutions across market risk, credit risk, insurance, and investments. This role offers ownership and direct impact.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in both front-end and back-end software engineering.
• Experience building, deploying, and operating applications in an enterprise cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience using AI-native developer tooling ( e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate software design, implementation, and refactoring while maintaining quality.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into working software solutions.
• Experience supporting and maintaining applications in production.
• Interest and excitement for learning about financial markets, investments, and commodities trading.

Responsibilities

• Embedded technical partner and full-stack builder: work with domain experts to build, deploy, operate, and improve systems that support risk/reward optimization across Koch.
• Enhance operational outcomes by connecting with technical support resources and driving reliable performance for applications used by the Risk Optimization team.
• Lead AI-native engineering practices to accelerate output and expand capabilities across the team.
• Develop and support Gen AI workflows and agents across the enterprise with ongoing project pipeline involvement.
• Uphold enterprise architecture standards with governance for identity, security, data, and platforms.
