Job summary

Higharc seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with a major homebuilder, turning unstructured plan data into a structured, queryable library with AI-enabled search. You’ll embed across teams, own ETL pipelines, and deliver production-ready tooling that customers can use directly.

You’ll prototyped data solutions, build taxonomy models, and balance data quality with delivery timelines while traveling up to 30% of the time. Remote-first, US-based company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in customer-facing or deployed settings.
• Strong hands-on data fluency: SQL, API scripting, notebooks.
• Experience prototyping to validate ideas using Cursor, Replit, or V0.dev.
• Track record building structured data models, taxonomies, or classification schemes.
• Excellent judgment about data quality and its impact on decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executives.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Embed with HQ and field teams to discover and profile plan assets.
• Build and ship the searchable plan library, analytics dashboard, and NL-based search.
• Extend AI capabilities to translate floorplans into structured data.
• Write ETL and ship working capability directly to users.
• Develop geometric similarity scoring and classification models for plans.
• Meet milestones and flag tradeoffs with real-time data.
