Job summary

Higharc is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join as a founding member of our new Forward Deployed team. You’ll embed with a large homebuilder to convert unstructured plans into structured, queryable data and deliver real outcomes in the field.

You’ll own end-to-end pipelines from data ingestion to production-ready outputs, build analytics dashboards, and collaborate with product, QA, and client strategy to ship value quickly and responsibly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in customer-facing or deployed settings.
• Strong data fluency with SQL and APIs; use notebooks.
• Experience prototyping to validate ideas quickly using tools like Cursor, Replit, or V0.dev.
• Proven track record building structured data models and taxonomies.
• Sound judgment on data quality and costs of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executives.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Embed with HQ and teams to discover and profile plan assets.
• Build and ship the searchable plan library, analytics dashboard, and NL search.
• Extend AI capabilities to classify floorplans into data.
• Write ETL and ship capability against internal APIs.
• Develop geometric similarity scoring and classification models.
• Meet milestones and flag tradeoffs in real time.
• Instrument results: catalog redundancy, variation, and leverage.
• Partner with product managers and client strategy to present progress.
• Build reusable tooling for future engagements.
• Travel to client sites up to 30%.
