CACI International Inc. is seeking an experienced NASA Embedded Sensor Software Development Engineer to design and develop embedded flight software for CO2, H2O, and gas analyzer sensor controllers for NASA JSC in Houston, TX.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills, Linux environment experience, and a history of embedded firmware development across the full software life cycle. Expect collaboration with multiple NASA programs, rigorous unit testing, and system integration in a dynamic aerospace

Formación

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, Computer or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least three years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong C programming skills.
• Experience developing software in a Linux environment.
• Experience developing C/C++ software unit tests in Aerospace or related industries using a unit test framework (e.g., Google Test, UT-Assert, or CppUnit).
• Experience developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers.
• Must have significant experience in the entire software life cycle.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop embedded flight software to control CO2, H2O, and gas analyzer sensors.
• Create thorough unit tests from self-developed test plans using UT-Assert and Gcov.
• Evaluate unit test results with path coverage and MC/DC analysis.
• Troubleshoot issues with failed test cases.
• Perform C code reviews to spot logic errors.
• Collaborate with other engineers to resolve unit test issues.
• Support software requirements, interfaces, and performance analysis.
• Integrate and test software/hardware in avionics test beds and flight environments.
• Collaborate with NASA programs and contractors across teams.
