Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Spacecraft Flight Software Developer to join NASA’s Orion FSW team at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You’ll design, implement, test and verify embedded C/C++ flight software for a human-rated spacecraft and collaborate with NASA and prime contractors on issue resolution.

The role requires strong communication, real-time systems expertise, and a passion for space programs. Travel up to 10% and a dynamic, mission-driven environment are offered.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, CS or related field is required.
• At least 5 years of embedded software experience for real-time safety-critical systems.
• Strong C++ programming and testing skills.
• Ability to work with NASA and contractors in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Orion embedded FSW with thorough C/C++ unit tests.
• Perform integrated testing and software verification using SOCRRATES.
• Evaluate and fix software defects and perform troubleshooting.
• Integrate software and build FSW loads for testing.
• Adhere to JSC software processes and perform code reviews.
• Collaborate with NASA SMEs to resolve flight software issues.
• Develop software tools and scripts as needed.
