Job summary
CesiumAstro is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop embedded software for aerospace platforms, including Linux-based systems and high-reliability microcontrollers. You will contribute across all development stages, from concept to production, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, high-performance solutions for space and airborne applications.
The role requires hands-on embedded development, real-time operating systems experience, and strong communication
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
- Hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded hardware; API design for FPGA interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production.
- Develop, test, debug, and document system software.
- Review code and system designs for quality and performance.
- Analyze code for efficiency, stability and scalability.
- Integrate and validate new product designs.
- Support software QA and optimize I/O performance.
- Provide post-production/in-orbit customer support.
- Interface with hardware design and development teams.
- Assess third-party and open-source software.
