Job summary

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop embedded electronic systems for unmanned and autonomous platforms in support of national security missions at Aberdeen Proving Ground. You will work across circuit design, embedded computing, flight control hardware, sensors, and imaging systems to rapidly prototype and mature integrated hardware capabilities.

The role involves hands-on system engineering from architecture and component selection through schematic

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing and developing embedded electronic systems, including schematic design, component selection, PCB development, and hardware bring-up.
• Experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, or SoCs and peripheral circuitry.
• Experience developing or integrating flight control hardware, avionics, robotics, or real-time embedded systems.
• Knowledge of embedded interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, etc.
• Experience developing embedded firmware in C/C++ or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and firmware with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.
• Ability to integrate sensors, communications devices, and other peripherals into embedded platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded electronic systems for unmanned, autonomous platforms and other national security missions.
• Bridge circuit design, embedded computing, flight control hardware, sensors, and imaging for rapid prototyping and maturation of hardware capabilities.
• Provide hands-on system engineering from architecture to board bring-up, testing, and integration with software/mechanical teams.
