Job summary

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Embedded Systems / Flight Control Hardware to design and develop embedded electronic systems for unmanned and autonomous platforms at Aberdeen Proving Ground. You will work across circuit design, embedded computing, flight control hardware, sensors, and imaging systems to prototype and mature capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience designing and developing embedded electronic systems, including schematic design, component selection, PCB development, and hardware bring-up.
• Experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, or SoCs and associated peripheral circuitry.
• Experience developing or integrating flight control hardware, avionics, robotics, or other real-time embedded systems.
• Working knowledge of embedded interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, or similar.
• Experience developing, modifying, or debugging embedded firmware in C/C++ or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other lab equipment.
• Ability to integrate sensors, communications devices, and other peripherals into embedded platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded electronic systems for unmanned and autonomous platforms.
• Integrate flight controllers, processors, sensors, cameras, and comms hardware.
• Support system architecture from component selection to bring-up and testing.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and autonomy teams to mature hardware capabilities.
