Job summary
The Toro Company in Bloomington, MN invites applications for an Embedded Software Engineering Intern role. You will design and debug embedded firmware for Toro equipment, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team on electrification and autonomous projects.
Responsibilities include developing firmware for microcontrollers (8/16/32-bit) in C/C++, assisting with RTOS integration, and validating hardware/software interfaces while documenting designs and test results.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and able to start May 17, 2027.
- Experience developing embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers.
- RTOS experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of hardware/software integration and serial/parallel communications protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and enhance embedded firmware for Toro equipment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to specify and implement firmware features.
- Work on integration challenges across hardware and software components.
- Validate electronics and embedded software through testing and documentation.
- Assist with interfaces and performance tuning of hardware/software systems.
