Job summary
The Toro Company in Bloomington, MN offers a 2027 Summer Internship in Electrical Engineering. You will work with the Battery and Systems Engineering Team to develop battery and electrical products alongside staff engineers.
You will assist in design, debugging, testing, and documentation while gaining hands-on experience with circuits, embedded systems, and measurement tools. The program runs May 17–Aug 6, 2027 with competitive hourly pay.
Qualifications
- Pursuing an Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree in an ABET-accredited program.
- Interest in electrical design, embedded systems, control, or batteries.
- Basic circuit analysis, digital logic and control systems knowledge.
- Familiarity with C/C++, Python, MATLAB is preferred.
- Experience with test and measurement equipment is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Battery and Systems Engineering Team on battery and electrical products.
- Assist in development, debugging and improvement of electrical systems.
- Participate in new product design and development processes.
- Help investigate and resolve design and development issues.
- Contribute to validation and testing of electronics and battery systems.
- Help prepare design and validation documentation.
