Job summary

The Toro Company in Bloomington, Minnesota, invites an Robotics Engineering Intern to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. You will help develop software for autonomous turf equipment, focusing on localization, navigation, perception, and sensor fusion, while working with robots and cloud-based systems.

The internship runs May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027, requiring enrollment in an educational program and strong CS/CE/Software Eng background.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a degree program (e.g., CS/CE/Software Eng).
Completed junior-level courses preferred.
Strong desire to learn and communicate in a team.
Ability to stay organized and work independently.

Responsibilities

Develop, debug, test, and enhance software for autonomous robotic platforms.
Design and implement robotic subsystems for localization, navigation, perception, and sensor fusion.
Improve automation tools, development pipelines, and testing processes.
Create and maintain remote diagnostics, monitoring tools, and engineering utilities.
Collaborate with software, systems, electronics, and mechanical engineers to optimize machine performance.
Support integration and validation of new autonomous features on prototype and production hardware.
Participate in field testing, data collection, troubleshooting, and performance analysis of autonomous equipment.
Document designs, test results, and technical findings to support product development.
