Job summary

The Toro Company in Bloomington, MN offers a 2027 Mechanical Engineering Intern position from May 17 to August 6, 2027. You will work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, analyze data, and document lessons learned from lab and field testing.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a Mechanical Engineering BS in an ABET-accredited program, with a minimum 3.2 GPA, proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Creo, and strong skills in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering BS in an ABET-accredited program with minimum GPA 3.2.
• Completed at least sophomore or junior year of coursework.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong 3D modeling and 2D drafting skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Creo).
• Basic understanding of statics, dynamics, GD&T and design for manufacturability.
• Clear verbal and written skills; collaborative mindset; eager to learn and hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting issues to reduce product warranty.
• Root cause identification and cross-functional collaboration.
• Work with test department for lab and field testing as needed.
• Analyze data and document results.
• Create documentation for lessons learned library.
