Job summary

BCubed Engineering, an Auria company, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer (E3) to join our Warrenton, VA team on a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on designing, coding, and testing embedded firmware in C and Python for TI microprocessors, building CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with hardware engineers to validate designs while meeting security and compliance standards.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of embedded C experience, familiarity with SPI/I2C, and be eligible for US security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional embedded C development experience.
• Hands-on with SPI and I2C at register level.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire project development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware using C, and Python for TI microprocessors.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Write clean, well-documented embedded C code following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize firmware for memory footprint, power consumption, and real-time performance.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to interrupt handling, DMA operations, and peripheral configurations.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define interface requirements and validate hardware designs.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are met in embedded software implementations.
