Job summary

BCubed Engineering, an Auria company, seeks a Senior Staff Systems Engineer in Warrenton, VA. Hybrid work arrangement with a focus on hardware lifecycle management, root‑cause analysis, and high‑assurance system architectures. You will mentor teams across engineering, manufacturing, and vendors while guiding complex projects to successful delivery.

The role requires 5–10+ years in systems engineering, a U.S. Secret clearance, and a degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of proven systems engineering experience delivering high‑consequence technical solutions.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Experience with hardware development, verification, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to mentor and lead teams across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced problem‑solving to architect and deliver complex systems and systems of systems.
• Lead with engineering rigor, ensuring testing, documentation, and reliable delivery across the SDLC.
• Engage with partners and customers to establish trusted technical relationships.
• Serve as a respected mentor and technical leader across the organization.
• Design architectures reflecting end‑user mission needs and collect feedback.
• Author, trace, and validate system requirements; support major milestone reviews.
• Generate and maintain engineering artifacts, ICDs, CDDs, drawings, and BOMs.
• Maintain configuration management across program artifacts and CI/BOM lists.
• Collaborate on SW lifecycle planning from requirements through maintenance.
