Job summary

Engtal, a global engineering leader, seeks an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join a cross-disciplinary team designing cryogenic pumps, chillers and compressor systems. You’ll take firmware from requirements through implementation, integration and testing on real equipment in a lab.

You’ll have 5+ years in embedded firmware, strong C/C++, experience with Linux/RTOS, real-time control, and familiarity with SPI/CAN/Serial; hands-on testing in a lab environment is essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of embedded firmware/software engineering experience.
Strong C and C++ programming experience.
Experience with embedded controls and real-time systems.
Experience working within Linux and/or RTOS environments.
Knowledge of communication protocols and device drivers such as SPI, CAN, Serial, EEPROM and Flash.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded applications for cryogenic pumps, chillers and compressors.
Own firmware from requirements through implementation, integration and system testing.
Develop multi-threaded embedded applications.
Work with and improve existing/legacy codebases.
Develop test suites and automated engineering validation tests.
Carry out hands-on testing using real equipment in a lab environment.
