Job summary

Bright Silicon Technologies is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to develop low-level and system software across firmware, embedded Linux, and device interfaces. You will work on hardware bring-up, system integration, and test, collaborating with electrical, controls, photonics, and software engineers to move prototypes toward reliable hardware.

Ideal candidates have strong C/C++ skills, experience with bare-metal/RTOS/embedded Linux, and hands-on debugging with lab tools.

Qualifications

• Strong C and C++ development skills with embedded software delivery on hardware.
• Experience with bare-metal firmware, RTOS, or embedded Linux and timing analysis.
• Hands-on debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, and lab tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug C/C++ firmware for device control, data acquisition, and communications.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to bring up new boards and diagnose cross-domain problems.
• Measure timing, performance, and reliability using lab instrumentation.
• Deploy algorithms and connect subsystems on target hardware for telemetry and diagnostics.
• Lead design and code reviews and document decisions for team reuse.
• Strengthen automated builds, hardware testing, and reproducible software configurations.
