Edwards Vacuum is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join a cross‑functional team developing firmware for cryogenic vacuum pumps and chillers. You will craft multi‑threaded embedded apps, test suites, and maintain code in a lab environment with hands‑on testing.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a degree in electrical/software engineering, and proficiency in C/C++, Linux, and RTOS like FreeRTOS. Collaboration with hardware and SQA teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer, Software, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Linux.
• Embedded controls and real‑time data processing experience.
• RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, multitasking, synchronization, interrupts.
• Python and VBA for test scripting.

Responsibilities

• Detail requirements, firmware implementation, integration, and system testing in Edwards pumps and chillers.
• Develop and design multi‑threaded Embedded applications for cryogenic pumps and compressors.
• Understand legacy products and work on validation tests.
• Maintain and manage source code.
• Oversee hands‑on testing with lab equipment.
