Job summary

Keenfinity Group is hiring an Embedded Firmware Engineering Co-op to support firmware design, architecture, and testing for security system products. You will work with cross-functional teams, contribute to requirements, and help automate testing in Linux and FreeRTOS environments.

You will gain hands-on experience in embedded software development, hardware-software integration, and data-driven test analysis while collaborating with experienced engineers on a cloud-native security ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering or related field.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and structured work approach.
• Clear communication in a technical and non-technical audience.
• Self-motivated with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in firmware design and architecture for embedded systems.
• Contribute to requirements engineering and risk assessment.
• Design, develop, and test firmware and test software tools.
• Write embedded code in C/C++ and Python for testing.
• Participate in cross-functional reviews with engineers and PMs.
• Develop test strategies and automate unit tests.
• Perform debugging and root-cause analysis on hardware/software faults.
