Job summary

The AES Group Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II to develop and maintain embedded engine-control and aftertreatment software. The ideal candidate has hands-on MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow experience and strong technical documentation skills.

The role involves designing software strategies, creating models, and supporting concept development, validation, and production. Office-based work with production testing interaction in a heavy equipment context.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
Experience developing or maintaining embedded control software for production systems.
Strong documentation and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded engine-control and aftertreatment software strategies.
Create control logic, software models, and architectures using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
Support concept development, validation, documentation, release, and production support.
Troubleshoot production software and implement continuous improvements.
Prepare technical diagrams, flowcharts, and ISO-aligned documents.
Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, validation teams, and other stakeholders.
Lead technical discussions to gather requirements and develop practical software solutions.
Analyze engine-test data and support software-related troubleshooting.
Review validation results and coordinate with validation engineers to resolve issues.
