Job summary

Cullerton Group is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer 2 for Mossville, Illinois, to support development and validation of engine control software. The role emphasizes automated test scripting, SIL testing, and debugging embedded software in bench and simulation environments.

The ideal candidate has strong C programming experience, familiarity with model-based development, and hands-on debugging in embedded systems. This is a 12-month, on-site assignment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with focus on embedded software/systems.
Minimum 3 years of professional embedded software experience.
Strong hands-on C programming for embedded applications.
Familiarity with model-based development and embedded control software.
Experience with embedded debuggers and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Develop, integrate, and maintain embedded software test scripts and automation for diesel engine ECUs.
Perform SIL testing and validation using simulation environments and bench test setups.
Analyze requirements, create test plans, execute tests, and document results.
Support software builds, libraries, and validation of ECU software flash files.
Troubleshoot defects and collaborate with engineers to implement fixes.
