Job summary

Randstad Digital is seeking an Embedded Controls Engineer in Waukesha, WI to advance engine control design. You will develop system-level code in Matlab/Simulink, perform simulations, and collaborate with teams to optimize emissions, AFR, and durability.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or electrical engineering and 5 years of experience, with expertise in Matlab/Simulink, Python, and HiL/SiL environments. Hybrid or on-site options and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink for engine systems including steady state and transient analysis.
• Experience with co-simulation environments (SiL/HiL).
• Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics in engine performance.

Responsibilities

• Create system-level engine code using Matlab/Simulink for engine and generator design.
• Conduct simulated and functional analyses to evaluate engine performance.
• Test and optimize engine steady state and transient performance.
• Interpret results and present findings to cross-functional teams.
• Develop software and code analysis best practices to improve efficiency.
• Document code objectives and results in standardized reports.
• Apply data analysis with Matlab/Simulink modeling and Python scripting for forecasting.
