Job summary

Woodsong Technologies, LLC in Fort Meade, MD is seeking an embedded software developer to design, implement, test, and integrate software across Windows, Linux, and RTOS environments. You will contribute from start to finish of product development and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role demands strong C/C++ and Python skills, good communication, and a dedication to quality and on-time delivery in a mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• One year of applicable experience with a BS in CS/EE or similar major, OR five years embedded experience.
• Experience with low-level programming in Windows, Linux, or RTOS (VxWorks, uC/OS).
• Proficient in C, C++, and Python for embedded development.
• Experience automating embedded software testing and working with integrated products.
• Strong communication and team-based collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct application development for embedded systems across multiple platforms.

Description

This candidate will be primarily focused on conducting application development on a variety of systems. Utilizing various tools and technology, you'll write, test, and edit code to support the team's mission. You'll be able to grow your skills as you develop integrated products from start to finish.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of applicable experience with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical major OR Minimum of five (5) years of applicable embedded developer experience
• Experience with low-level programming in a Windows, Linux, or RTOS (i.e., VxWorks, uC/OS, etc.)
• Experience developing in C, C++, and Python
• Experience automating the testing of embedded software running on embedded devices
• Experience with integrated products
• Experience with product life-cycle management
• Excellent communication skills with team and clients (both written and verbal communications)
• Team-based collaborative abilities
• Resourceful in terms of problem-solving and troubleshooting
