Job summary

Woodsong Technologies, LLC seeks a hardware design engineer to design and test ICs and hardware components for a wide range of applications. You will document, develop code for programmable devices, and adapt hardware to meet project needs.

Requirements include 7+ years in hardware design, PCB layout, ASIC/FP/R tools, and strong communication; TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance is a plus. Fort Meade, MD area.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of hardware design experience in IC or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering, BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering (5 extra years may substitute).
• Experience PCB layout and schematic capture.
• Experience in designing new products and processes and maintaining existing products.
• Applying ASIC or FPGA P&R tools with libraries to create physical implementations.
• Experience in maintaining documentation for P&R design flows.
• Experience providing technical leadership to less experienced engineers.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with clients and colleagues.

Description

This candidate will be primarily focused designing and testing new integrated circuits and hardware components for a wide variety of applications and research; designing, documenting, and developing code for a variety of programmable hardware devices; analyzing the function of existing integrated circuits and hardware components; and conducting the necessary hardware engineering and related functions to modify/adapt hardware to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of hardware design experience in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree)
• Experience PCB layout and schematic capture
• Experience in designing new products and processes and maintaining existing products
• Applying ASIC or FPGA place and route (P&R) tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs
• Experience with developing and maintaining documentation for P&R design flows
• Experience in providing technical leadership to less experienced engineers
• Excellent communication skills with team and clients (both written and verbal communications)
• Team-based collaborative abilities
• Resourceful in terms of problem-solving and troubleshooting
