Job summary

Woodsong Technologies, LLC in Linthicum Heights, MD, seeks a senior System Engineer with TS/SCI w/ Poly to perform cybersecurity assessments and lead critical security projects.

You will evaluate security requirements, conduct long-term vulnerability assessments, verify capabilities, and review contractor proposals for system resiliency, applying INCOSE lifecycle concepts and DoD exposure.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years of System Engineering experience; BS counts for 4 years, MS for 2 years.
• Six years leading System Engineer teams across organizations.
• Zero Trust experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale systems.
• Conduct long-term vulnerability assessments using architecture and design docs.
• Verify security requirements and capabilities via independent evaluation.
• Evaluate contractor proposals for resiliency and cybersecurity considerations.

Required Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale systems
• Perform long-term, in-depth vulnerability assessments, leveraging systems engineering principles and knowledge, utilizing any available information, including architecture diagrams, build specifications, design documentation, and systems architecture
• Perform independent verification and validation of security requirements and capabilities
• Perform technical evaluations of contractor proposals for systems resiliency, security, and cybersecurity considerations

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years of System Engineering experience (a Bachelor of Science (BS) in STEM will count for four (4) years of experience and an MS will count for an additional two (2) years of experience)
• Relevant BS in STEM field
• Six (6) years of experience as a System Engineer lead, to include leading, managing, and collaborating with various organizations, groups, and/or teams
• Zero Trust experience

Preferred Skills

• Cybersecurity certification (Sec+, CISSP, CEH, etc.)
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-160
• Familiarity with INCOSE defined life cycle systems engineering processes
• Experience with/knowledge of large-scale DOD systems
