Job summary

Woodsong Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced hardware design engineer to design and test integrated circuits and hardware components for diverse applications. You will design, document, and develop code for programmable hardware and analyze existing ICs to adapt hardware for project needs.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with clients, and robust problem-solving to deliver reliable hardware solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Seven years of hardware design experience in IC or microelectronic components, or reverse engineering with a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience PCB layout and schematic capture.
• Experience in designing new products and processes and maintaining existing products.
• Experience using ASIC or FPGA place and route tools to create physical implementations.
• Experience in developing and maintaining P&R design documentation.
• Experience providing technical leadership to less experienced engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with team and clients.
• Team-based collaborative abilities and problem-solving approach.

Description:

This candidate will be primarily focused designing and testing new integrated circuits and hardware components for a wide variety of applications and research; designing, documenting, and developing code for a variety of programmable hardware devices; analyzing the function of existing integrated circuits and hardware components; and conducting the necessary hardware engineering and related functions to modify/adapt hardware to meet project needs.

Qualifications:

• Seven (7) years of hardware design experience in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree)
• Experience PCB layout and schematic capture
• Experience in designing new products and processes and maintaining existing products
• Applying ASIC or FPGA place and route (P&R) tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs
• Experience with developing and maintaining documentation for P&R design flows
• Experience in providing technical leadership to less experienced engineers
• Excellent communication skills with team and clients (both written and verbal communications)
• Team-based collaborative abilities
• Resourceful in terms of problem-solving and troubleshooting
