Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks a cyber engineer with deep embedded systems experience to advance security for mission-critical platforms. You will lead threat analysis, reverse engineering, and the development of new security techniques for connected cyber-physical systems.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, collaborate with partners and customers, and contribute to new research opportunities while driving adoption of innovations. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience or advanced degree with 2+ years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with embedded systems, industrial control systems, or operational technology.
• Prior research experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and development projects in cyber-physical security.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, communications, and systems engineers to develop and evaluate new cybersecurity technologies.
• Demonstrate technology through early customer engagements and impact on business.
• Contribute to government-sponsored science and technology research.
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders to ensure collaboration and adoption of innovations.
