Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Embedded Controls to design, develop, test, and sustain embedded control systems for electromechanical products in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You'll work across embedded hardware, firmware, and control system architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams from concept to production, delivering robust and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Embedded firmware experience with C/C++ on microcontrollers.
• Experience designing and supporting PCBs and schematics.
• Experience with lab validation and hardware testing.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing or product development environments.
• Familiarity with design reviews, FMEA, DFM/DFT.
• Strong engineering documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded control systems and PCBAs.
• Create schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings to support manufacturing and service activities.
• Develop qualification testing and validation plans for robust product performance.
• Develop embedded firmware using C/C++ for embedded microcontrollers.
• Develop UI/embedded software with Qt-based HMI solutions.
• Collaborate across hardware, firmware, and mechanical teams throughout development.
• Support prototype builds, lab testing, and product launches.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and traceability throughout the lifecycle.
