Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and sustain embedded control systems for advanced electromechanical products. You will work across hardware, firmware, and software layers while ensuring compliance with UL/IEC/FDA standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You’ll lead design reviews, develop qualification tests, and collaborate with mechanical, controls, and systems teams to deliver robust products across lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience with embedded firmware development and PCB design.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (UL, IEC, FDA) and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded control systems and PCBAs for electromechanical products.
• Create schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings for manufacturing and service.
• Develop qualification testing and validation plans for product performance.
• Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers.
• Develop UI functionality including HMI using Qt.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support prototype builds, lab testing, and product launches.
• Work with manufacturing and supplier teams on system integration and validation.
