Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced electrical hardware engineer to design, develop, test, and document hardware for access control readers and controllers, including schematics, PCB layouts, RF performance, power systems, and digital interfaces.

You will support prototype bring-up, compliance testing, production builds, and troubleshooting of hardware issues in production and the field, collaborating with manufacturing and validation teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required, plus 3+ years embedded hardware experience.
• Experience taking a product through production, PCB design, microcontrollers, interfaces, power, RF/wireless.
• Hands-on test equipment experience; PCBA manufacturing, PACS, OSDP, Altium, and DFM/DFT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and document electrical hardware for access control readers and controllers.
• Support prototype bring-up, compliance testing, production builds, manufacturing and validation teams.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in production and the field.
