Job summary

Actalent seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop motor control electronics across the product lifecycle. You will contribute to designs for low voltage DC to 480Vac industrial products, write specifications, perform simulations, and guide PCB layout and BOM creation.

You'll collaborate with software, mechanical, motor design, and applications teams to optimize for cost and quality, support testing and certification, and help production ramp with detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree in Electronic Engineering desirable.
• Experience with power electronics such as inverters and switching supplies.
• Knowledge of conditioning and sensing circuitry for drives.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of motor control electronics across product lifecycle.
• Design motor control electronics from low voltage DC to 480Vac industrial products.
• Write specifications, perform analyses, capture schematics, and review designs.
• Guide PCB layout, BOMs, and assembly drawings; oversee validation and certification.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, motor design, and applications teams.
