RTX's Collins Aerospace unit in Rockford, IL is seeking an embedded controls co‑op student. The role is onsite and involves applying fundamental engineering knowledge to immediate hardware projects and participating in the full hardware lifecycle.

You'll work with a cross‑functional team to perform design, analysis and testing, while preparing documentation and supporting project administration. This program offers learning opportunities in hardware requirements and verification processes.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field and enrolled through internship/co-op.
• Experience with electronics and electrical components.
• Experience working in a lab and using electronic test equipment.
• Experience with Excel and circuit simulation software.

Responsabilités

• Apply fundamental knowledge to embedded controls engineering tasks identified by a hardware lead engineer.
• Engage in controls engineering practices across the hardware lifecycle including requirements, design, testing, and deployment.
• Prepare and publish project documents involved in specification, design, testing and deployment of hardware.
• Assist engineers with project administration and technical analysis tasks to support higher priority work.
